Our winter getaway was so magical!

Our winter getaway was so magical! The property is stunning. There was so much to enjoy on the trails wandering through the property. The view of the waterfall from the house was unreal! The cabin was very comfortable and had everything we could have needed and more. There was space for the kids to play and the adults to relax. The kitchen was surprisingly well stocked with all the cooking equipment we could need.

This place was absolutely fantastic—a true paradise! From the warm welcome of the host to the spotless cleanliness, and the breathtaking natural surroundings, every detail was just perfect. The living room felt like a serene oasis, with stunning views of the trees and river that made us feel like we were floating among them.

What a gorgeous place! It exceeded our expectations in every way. The home was spacious, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. It easily accommodated five adults. The view and surroundings are really special! The way the furniture is arranged and the huge windows made it easy to enjoy the river and forest from inside, even when it was rainy.

You must go!

You must go! Those are the words that come to mind when describing this sweet and secluded stay in the woods of Canada. The backyard view is stunning and the sounds of the waterfall soothing. We swam, canoed, played in the yard and sipped coffee on the back porch. It was a writer’s heaven and a fisherman’s dream.

Terrific weekend getaway.

My family and I had a terrific weekend getaway at Balsam Falls. The roar of the waterfall, and the private surroundings were the perfect combination for a relaxing weekend.

This stay was absolutely incredible. The the house is perched beautifully for optimal views of the water and woods. The house itself was lovely and comfortable with plenty of space for our two families to play together and also have privacy. The landscape was accessible and fun, the kids played on the lawn, we walked the trails on site and jumped off the floating dock repeatedly. We explored the creek in the canoe and found loads of wildlife around the waterfall. It truly felt like a luxury to have such an incredible spot all to ourselves for the week. I highly recommend this stay.

Just rent it already!

Just rent it already! Wow. This was by far our favorite Airbnb stay, and we have been around a lot. It is SO private, absolutely gorgeous view, peaceful, clean, beautiful home inside and out, the property is huge, it was an absolute blast and we didn't want to go home.

More than just enjoyable - it was magical!

This property was more than just enjoyable - it was MAGICAL! There was so much to discover, from the beautiful river and waterfalls (viewed in 180 degress from the cozy sun room), to the trails, to the well-stocked kitchen, to the excellent collection of books on hand, and the lovely old piano which was great fun to noodle around on. The interior is charming and elegant while the outside area and fire pit are all well-maintained.

Now one of our favorite places to visit in Canada! From the moment we turned onto the drive, we knew we were somewhere special. The home has everything to support your stay. The beds were comfortable. And the view! From morning til night, the views framed within the expansive windows and outdoor porch space are magical. What a memorable place to enjoy coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening. We enjoyed walking down the path to check out the falls and taking in the stars around the bonfire. Truly breathtaking!

If you ever have the chance to snag a reservation, don't hesitate!

We have stayed in more than a few airbnbs all over the world and we - little pups and senior citizens and pregnant mums to be - all unanimously agree that this was by far our favorite. This luxury river retreat was absolutely magical and very much worth the twelve hour drive from Virginia. If you ever have the chance to snag a reservation, don't hesitate!

Total nature immersion, for meaningful gatherings, and intentional living.
